This is one of my favorite F1s of all time. Jordan J199 Mugen Honda piloted by Frentzen in 1999 Italian GP. Frentzen won this race after Hakkinen shifted into wrong gear in the 1st chicane of the Monza circuit and stalled. J199 is so sharp because it is in bright yellow and with distinctive hornet head.
This kit is 1/20 Modelers kit and was out of production for long time. The retail price of 9500 yen was considered pretty cheap back then comparing to others 16,800 yen resin F1 kit. However, the quality isn't that good... I ended up spending a lot of time to replace ugly white metal parts with spare Tamiya kit's parts. The core yellow is Gunze GX4 yellow and clearcoat is Gune CL183 super clear II. All the CF decals are from Modelers. I am glad that I can get this kit done and overall I am happy with this build... but I will definitely switch to build plastic in my next project.
