        Scratch built 2 side wings with styrene sheets. It looks pretty cool after all. The major body modifications are considered done.. Next, hmmm tons of epoxy puttying!!! and then sanding!!! my hands will be very sore.. :D:D

        Attended SVSM Kickoff Classics this afternoon. I took my Jordan J199 to the contest and luckily got 2nd place. 1st place went to Mike English's super detailed vintage formula racer. It was built from a 1/24 Heller kit... Checkout the details!! Simply amazing!!!

        I put together the rear and front wing. Dealing with white metal is paint. Epoxy glue is the only choice for me. The clear winglet plate on the front end plate is pain to attach. I ended up using white glue to attach it. It i

        Alright, main body decal is done. I put on 1st layer of CL184 Gunze super clear II on this morning. It is a thin layer. I am relieved that my custom decal 'Zepter' from my inkjet printer stays intact..

        Alright, decaling time starts... Some black decal doesn't quite fit and will touch up with a little black paint later.

        The hornet head is so sharp!!! The yellow is abit off, but I think it will be alright after the gloss-coat.

        This is one hard task. I masked around the headrest area, then airbrushed the Gunze lacquar gold on. It took me 2 tries to get it round.. I am happy with the result.

        This is the long Labor Day weekend... and got some progress. I airbrushed 2 coats of yellow on the car. I used new Gunze GX 04 yellow this time. This one is the closest color I can find that matches the yellow on the decal. Quite abit of dust particles sticked on the surface now.. need to polish

        Just got a EJan RB5 wide nose.. what a nice car and kit. The shape wise, it is very nice.. Panel lines aren't that nice. The front suspension cover and nose panel line definitely need to be re-scribed. Overall, it will turn out to be a nice one.

        The lower rear wing element is very lousy from the kit, so I used the spare one from Tamiya F1-2000 to replace it.




        Extended the rear undertray area.. The rear tires is too far off from the undertray. So I extended the undertray so that it is closer to the tire.

        Ok, finally got some time to do some modeling..

        I sprayed 2 wet layers of Tamiya white primers on all main body parts and undertray this morning. Then I used 1200 grits sandpaper to smooth out the dried primer. Now they are ready for bright red paint next week (hopefully.)

        Finally got some time to work on the MG Ferrari. CFed front wing underside winglets and glued them on with krazy glue.

        Next will be test all suspension arms, uprights and wheels onto the big resin body.. Then puttying and sanding on main body... priming, painting, polishing etc etc...

        The resin surface is horribly rough... :O :O :O.. It will take me weeks to get the surface smoothened out... tough job..

        Alright, finally got the steering wheel done. I put on S27 CF decal on the wheel body and Modelers CF decal on the paddle shifter. The main steering body is then clearcoated with Gunze gloss topcoat (total of 3 coats) and paddler shifter is coated with Gunze semi-gloss topcoat. Finally everything

        Finally made some progress on Minardi M193 cockpit. I used Modelers D923 CF decal to cover entire surrounding and coated with semi-gloss coat. Dash was covered with SMS CF decal.         Guess what I bought again. I bought this 97 Schumy flat back helmet. This one has a flat back aero shape. In fact, Schumy only worn this in pre-season testing and switched back to regular round shape helmet in most of the 97 season. I put this 1:1 helmet along with the 1:8 Minichamps 96 version

        Just bought a 1/24 Modelers Enzo Ferrari figure on Ebay. It was like $21 including shipping and the figure arrived yesterday. The quality is extremely nice. I wish they could make a 1/20 scale and other famous F1 drivers. :P

        My wife and I went to watch USGP 2006 live at Indianapolis. This is my first live F1 experience and it is great!! Schumacher won the race and it maybe his last USGP victory since he may retire end of the season.
